The filter cartridges feature a 5-stage filtration system. Stage 1 is a dense cotton mesh that removes particles and debris. Stage 2 utilizes activated carbon to remove toxins, odors, and discoloration. Stage 3 employs zeolite to absorb harmful components and balance the water's pH. Stage 4 is another dense cotton mesh to remove additional particles and debris. Stage 5 is an ammonia reducer filter pad that provides further water treatment before the water is returned to the aquarium.

The activated carbon used is made from nutshells, which has a more developed pore structure, more uniform pore distribution, and a longer life compared to traditional charcoal. This processed activated carbon has superior adsorption and cleaning abilities, providing cleaner and healthier water for fish.

The spherical zeolite used is cleaner and more advanced than crushed granule zeolite. It can adsorb ammonia, heavy metals, and other harmful components, helping to balance the pH and improve the fertilization efficiency of aquatic plants, allowing them to grow faster and healthier.

If necessary, the filter cartridges and pads can be cut to a suitable length for your specific filter model. Some dust may be produced during the cutting process.
